Virtual Logistics Manager!
Translogistics' Virtual Logistics Manager (VLM) is a dynamic online system that gives you the ability to Route, Rate and Schedule Shipments, Create Printable Bills of Lading, Save Pending Unscheduled Shipments and provides Invoice Analysis access. This helpful combination of tools provides our customers the convenience and consistency of rating, routing and scheduling shipments along with a unique reporting program that provides our customers with useful data for measuring, planning, and attaining corporate objectives. Now let’s review these time saving tools in more detail.
- Route, Rate and Schedule Shipments:
Translogistics is not your traditional 3PL. We go above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to rate negotiation. Our rate negotiation process is customized for each individual customer. We provide custom rating down to the location level of a specific customer’s individual or multiple locations. This dynamic rating allows us the ability to determine optimal service lanes for certain carriers by specific origin and destination. This powerful tool will allow for specific detailed pricing based on shipment direction, interline points, specific commodity pricing, NMFCs or classes per location. Because of the depth of our negotiation process this removes the difficulty associated with the selection of a proper route and accurate pricing. Some of the benefits are as follows:
- Allows our customers to get accurate rates and quotes from selected pre-negotiated core carriers by specific location.
- A simple navigating “wizard” guides the user easily through the whole process and leads you through the proper payer, shipper, and consignee selection.
- The module saves all shipper and consignee information from transactions that have been scheduled and allows easy search and access of these accounts for the past 2 years. This allows our customers to build an on-going “account list”. It’s all maintained in one system so it eliminates having to enter and maintain this information in a separate module. It will automatically record and present them if they have been used in the past.
- Translogistics also maintains a specific customer commodities list. It allows you to add new ones during the rating process or TLI can also load them internally. The result is a customized list of possible commodities, saving your NMFC numbers, Classifications, and descriptions so that as you use the VLM it will become more “intelligent” with each new transaction. The more you use it the more it will be customized to your locations and better suit your needs.
- Translogistics negotiates specific Accessorial fees whenever possible during the carrier selection process. These negotiated Accessorials are presented during the rating process after the shipment is routed by the system. A list of potential accessorials will be offered for the user’s selection and then applied to the appropriate carrier on display of the route selection screen. With this method the user can easily identify a customized cost analysis of accessorial fees before they make a final decision on what carrier they wish to choose.
- We use the concept of less is more by offering only the carriers that we know best suit the data loaded for the shipment being entered. Instead of giving you a large list of less than accurate carriers to choose from we give you very accurate information based on your specific choices of preferred carriers and unique shipment properties. Our goal at TLI is to act on behalf of your company as Logistics Experts. We strive to save you time and money in every transaction and part of this time savings is making sure we keep our options concise and to the point.
- Upon completion of the Routing and Rating process you are given the ability to save the shipment as an Unscheduled Shipment for another day or request TLI to process this request and initiate it to the selected carrier to come in and pickup your product.

- Create Printable Bills of Lading:
- When a shipment is scheduled it is immediately made available for Bill of Lading creation.
- We keep all scheduled shipments in our system for BOL creation for 30 days.
- Save Pending Unscheduled Shipments:
Record Management for 30 days maintained of Saved Unscheduled Shipments.
- If you chose to save an unscheduled shipment we will save it in system for 30 days. If you are estimating a job you can figure out how much it’s going to cost to move it and then save it for later retrieval. Once you are ready to schedule the shipment simply pull it up and let the wizard quickly guide you through the process by loading all of your data for you. You will once again be given the chance to select any potential accessorials and to select from your specific group of routed carriers.
- Invoice Analysis:
- Translogistics places a great deal of importance on Trust, Loyalty and Integrity. While this is all well and good it is difficult for some companies to follow through with these types of ideological commitments. Part of the way we do this at Translogistics is by giving you the ability to perform a comprehensive analysis of your invoice data. We maintain for your use, 2 years of previous invoicing data and offer it online for custom sorting and data retrieval. We go as far back as 2 years but are as current as what is live in our own core systems. We show you invoicing data before it has even been processed by our own Audit department.
- When you access our Invoice Analysis Module the software will immediately retrieve and provide the last 2 years of data from your invoices for your processing needs.
- We have a comprehensive and powerfully advanced search screen that will allow you to search on any number of fields from your invoices. Once the initial data load is performed, any search you have no matter how great or small will return in seconds.
- With the data that is retrieved we offer summary info for the criteria showing the overall weight of the transactions returned, cost per pound, average cost per pound, and many other values giving you quick visibility for cost and analysis of your previous shipping budget.
- Many of our customers use our online analysis feature over their own invoice management systems due to its speed functionality and simplicity.
- We also give our customers the ability to download any specific viewed data from of these invoices in an excel format for import into there own systems for individual use.
