TLI with a Fresh, New Look
History of TLI
29 years ago today (1/11/2023), Scott McDevitt founded Translogistics, Inc to help provide shippers with technology and industry expertise. TLI has been serving as a Logistics Solutions Provider meeting the needs of many industries as it has grown over the past 29 years.
In Scott's own words:
"29 years ago today I walked out of my rented house and into my 7 year old car to go to my 10’ x 10’ office in Phoenixville with a sandwich, notepad, pens, a beeper, and the loving, confident support of my wife Wendy. She started a home day care to pay our bills while raising Joseph and Ben with Kailey on the way. A few days later, I borrowed my Mom’s computer until I could afford to buy one myself. It was exciting, scary, and challenging. I first had to explain to prospects what a 3PL was and then why they should go with me.
There were many ups and many downs. Some days, it was 2 steps forward and none back. Other days it was 5 back and 2 forward. I guess it was my stubbornness, persistence, and drive that got me through the tough times. More than anything, I have to say it was the Lord guiding and directing my steps. There’s a Bible verse that says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. And he delights in his way.” There were many times I was walking in unchartered, out of my comfort zone territory but I knew it was the Lord leading me so I kept moving forward. If I took the steps I wanted to take, hindsight showed me that they would have been the wrong steps. I often tell people that TLI is where it is, not because of me but in spite of me!
I also have to give much credit to the employees of TLI. Employees that have come and gone and everyone here today. It has truly been a team effort with the atmosphere of a family- a hard working family!
I’d like to thank each of you from the bottom of my heart for being at TLI and helping us continue to grow and prosper.

Our team is always looking for ways to improve – new services, new modes new needs met, for our customers and for ourselves. To better align the team with the collective focus in our 29th year, together we have decided to update our brand to new colors and a fresh new logo.

Our logo has been simplified over the years, which ties into our company’s mission to make logistics simplified. As we continue into our 29th year, our goal is to simplify operations and our brand identity to better serve our customers.
The TLI family business has tackled & resolved the most complex supply chain problems over the past 29 years. Our purpose is to help shippers simplify their supply chain to aid their scalability.
