Hurricane Idalia Expected to Make Landfall Wednesday

Hurricane Affects on Freight Shipping

Hurricane Idalia is expected to make landfall on Wednesday in Florida. Officials are expecting the storm to "intensify considerably" on it's path to Florida. Officials have already instructed people to flee, closed schools, and shuttered a major airport ahead of the projected landfall.

As with other Weather Emergencies, Hurricane Idalia is expected to cause disruptions directly and indirectly in freight networks. Directly impacting Florida operations, Hurricane Idalia may also indirectly affect other parts of the country as freight already destined for impacted areas will be staged in terminals.

Our logistics team actively monitors these situations to work with carriers on limited operations and will continue diligently monitoring the situation to help TLI customers through the disruptions.

The people, communities.. and the shippers we work with affected by Hurricanes and severe weather are always in TLI's thoughts and prayers.

Please refer to local guidelines and guidance from the National Weather System for further details on Hurricane Idalia.
