TLI announces Texas operations. Winter weather affected LTL networks last week as carriers opted for limited or no operation at specific terminals. The Southeast region had the tightest truckload market – while capacity remained looser throughout the country. 

TLI Update:

TLI has recently announced our presence in the state of Texas:

Truckload:

National averages continue to lower regarding load-to-truck ratios across all equipment types. Spot load posts were down 8.9% across all equipment while truck postings were only down 3.1%. National spot rates continue to fall at a national average.

 

In the last couple of weeks, the Southeast region of the country has been tighter than most of the country – more specifically in the Atlanta and Charlotte markets. Dry Van capacity was tighter in New Orleans as well ahead of the Mardi Gras holiday last week. 

Less-Than-Truckload:

Winter weather across the country has affected LTL carriers at a terminal basis. Last week, many terminals across the country had been on limited or no operation schedules to ensure safety to employees. This can affect the entire LTL network, and not just terminals in the affected areas since carriers are unable to move linehaul freight. TLI actively monitors these situations and will update any affected customer with solutions.


TLI is actively monitoring situations in the industry, such as acquisitions, embargos, and other industry disruptions. If a TLI client is directly affected by any of these events, your TLI representatives will reach out to discuss what this means for your account.

 

TLI highly suggests that on all shipments you provide our team with the “Must Arrive by Date” (MABD) as to when you need the product delivered. This will help us select the proper transit time / equipment type at the best current freight rate.
