Service Advisory: Hurricane Milton Results in Closed LTL Terminal Operations

As Hurricane Milton continues to impact the southeastern United States, we want to provide an important update regarding Less Than Truckload (LTL) shipping services. Due to the severe weather conditions, LTL carriers are currently advising that there is no line haul service into or out of the state of Florida until further notice.

In addition to the disruption in line haul service, we have been informed that several terminals are either closed or operating under limited capacity. Below is a list of affected LTL terminals:

Hurricane Milton Impact on LTL Carriers

We are hearing consistently from multiple LTL carriers that terminals servicing the greater regions of the following key cities are currently closed:

Closed Terminals:

  • Boynton Beach, FL
  • Fort Myers, FL
  • Jacksonville, FL
  • Miami, FL
  • Orlando, FL
  • Tampa, FL
  • West Palm Beach, FL
  • Asheville, NC
  • Fort Myers, Lakeland, FL

Terminals with Limited Operations:

  • Augusta, GA
  • Miami, FL
  • West Palm Beach, FL
  • Pompano Beach, FL
  • Jacksonville, FL

Please note that even though some terminals are operating under limited capacity, this does not mean that any pickups will be able to connect with a line haul trailer to be transported out of state. We strongly advise planning accordingly and staying in communication with Translogistics concerning any critical shipments during this period.

Additionally, carriers are also reporting fuel shortages in some areas, which could further delay transportation and logistics services.

Our Commitment to Keeping Shippers Updated:

We understand that these disruptions are challenging, and we are committed to keeping you informed as the situation evolves. Our top priority is the safety of everyone in the impacted zones, and we hope you and your loved ones remain safe during this time.

Please feel free to reach out with any concerns, and continue to check for updates as we receive further information from our carrier partners.

Stay safe, and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
